In terms of controls, DanMachi Battle Chronicle excels with its responsive and engaging real-time combat system. The touch-based controls are user-friendly, featuring simple taps for basic attacks and special abilities. Like many Gacha systems, DanMachi BATTLE CHRONICLE uses luck to decide what players get as rewards. It’s important to think about how often you get rare and valuable items. Games that find the right balance between giving good rewards and keeping the game challenging tend to make players happier.

In summary, DanMachi BATTLE CHRONICLE’s Gacha system is similar to most popular Gacha games nowadays. It offers different ways to get rewards, fair rates, reasonable in-game purchases, and special events that keep players engaged. However, it’s crucial for the game to keep a fair progression system to make sure that the Gacha doesn’t become too important. Overall, the Gacha mechanics in DanMachi BATTLE CHRONICLE make the game more appealing to collectors and fans.

Comparison with other existing DanMachi Games

DanMachi BATTLE CHRONICLE offers a refreshing departure from the traditional turn-based RPG formula seen in DanMachi – MEMORIA FREESE. It immerses players in real-time combat, enabling them to assemble teams of adventurers and engage in action-packed battles. BATTLE CHRONICLE leans towards mobile accessibility, offering a diverse range of game modes such as Story Quests, Training, and PvP Arena, making it suitable for short gaming sessions on the go.

However, it may not be as appealing to players who prefer the strategic depth of turn-based combat. On the other hand, DanMachi Memoria Freese caters to fans of traditional turn-based RPGs with its Gacha-based character summoning system and guild interactions. It follows a more familiar format where players collect characters, build teams, and engage in strategic battles.

DanMachi BATTLE CHRONICLE REVIEW
Image via Aiming Inc.

The game boasts a rich selection of characters from the DanMachi series and provides various in-game events and social features through guilds. While it offers a more methodical and strategic approach to gameplay, it may not offer the same level of fast-paced action as BATTLE CHRONICLE. In conclusion, the choice between DanMachi BATTLE CHRONICLE and DanMachi – MEMORIA FREESE largely depends on individual gameplay preferences.

BATTLE CHRONICLE stands out for its real-time action and accessibility, appealing to players who enjoy action-oriented gaming on mobile devices. On the other hand, MEMORIA FREESE caters to those who favor turn-based RPGs, offering a deeper level of strategy and character collection. Both games provide distinct experiences within the DanMachi universe, allowing players to choose the style that resonates most with their gaming preferences.

Final Verdict

In conclusion from our review perspective, DanMachi BATTLE CHRONICLE is a captivating mobile game that immerses players in the enchanting world of DanMachi with its real-time combat, diverse character lineup, and engaging gameplay modes. Whether you’re a fan of the anime or new to the series, the game offers an accessible and action-packed experience.

With its faithful adherence to the source material and the inclusion of Gacha mechanics, it provides an opportunity for players to collect and build their dream teams of adventurers. The game’s blend of action, strategy, and accessibility makes it a compelling choice for those seeking adventure in the world of DanMachi.

A fresh football season in eFootball 2024 arrived on mobile devices on the 7th of September. Fortunately, this time around, we didn’t experience any extensions of maintenance, which certainly sweetened the update. With each new season, the thrill of assembling the ultimate squad reaches new heights, and this season is no exception. However, as the dust settles on the new update, it’s apparent that not all players are in agreement about whether the gameplay has improved. Many find themselves disappointed as the game hasn’t introduced a significant array of new features. So, in this article, we’ll dive into a comprehensive review of the latest iteration of eFootball 2024, covering the pros and cons of the football title from KONAMI.

Improved gameplay mechanics is a big positive

When reflecting on eFootball 2023, it’s clear that the game had its fair share of gameplay problems. Throughout the season, many players found themselves grappling with various issues in the gameplay department. With the exception of a few fleeting moments of improvement, consistency remained elusive. However, it appears that this scenario has taken a turn for the better in eFootball 2024.

eFootball 2024 gameplay

The gameplay is now more balanced, with the faster speed of play affecting the decision-making in a positive way. The increased pace of play has positively impacted decision-making. Players exhibit greater responsiveness, and surprisingly, the removal of player playstyles hasn’t had a detrimental effect on player movement. They feel like real players, and in most cases, you will find them to be enjoyable to control.

Coming to the passing and shooting, as mentioned before, the pace of gameplay being increased also has an effect on this. The ball now exhibits improved movement, with passes carrying an impressive weight to them. Shooting, in particular, has become a more realistic experience, with the ball’s trajectory and the subsequent movement of the net adding to the overall authenticity of the game.

Minor improvements to graphics do reflect on experience

Well, this is where a lot of players have been noticing some improvements, and frankly, we did too. The graphics have been greatly enhanced, especially with the player faces being positive towards the overall atmosphere. The advertisement boards are flashier than before, and you can find them attractive enough. Additionally, the improvements extend to the crowd animations. In previous iterations, the crowd often felt somewhat static and lacked the dynamism you’d expect from a real football match.

eFootball 2024 cutscenes
Image via KONAMI

However, in eFootball 2024, the crowd models have been significantly upgraded. They now display a more convincing level of movement, reacting more naturally to the action on the field. There are some negatives still, no player shirt name, presentation of players, etc., but to conclude this section, there is no denying that the team has put a good amount of effort into providing a visual experience that is pleasing to the eye.

UI impresses with its color scheme, music still could have been better

The user interface in eFootball 2024 has made a notable impression with its choice of color scheme. The combination of black and purple is a visually striking choice that lends a modern and stylish feel to the game. When the game loads and you are presented with Messi smiling at you, there itself you can feel the rush of gaming inside you thanks to the color scheme. The menu choices feature distinct colors, which initially felt unusual but quickly grew familiar.

Main Menu eFootball 2024
Image via KONAMI

However, the scorecard retains its yellow and blue color scheme, which I was not a fan of, and might be the only negative I had to point out. Going to the music section, well, the tracks are good, and while it does its job in creating an ambiance, it’s noted that it still doesn’t quite reach the heights achieved by the 2018 PES tracks if you remember. Still, good.

New features were desperately needed, and it fell short

Being an avid fan of the game I was desperate for new game modes. C’mon, a penalty shootout game mode would be good enough, or maybe bring the Master League you have been teasing for a long while now? Unfortunately, nada. Instead, while eFootball 2024 introduced some in-game features such as Boosters and the ability to track player stats with goals and assists, these additions didn’t quite align with the expectations we had in mind when requesting new and innovative features.

eFootball 2024 cutscenes
Image via KONAMI

The addition of an extra stadium shouldn’t have posed a significant challenge, especially considering the abundance of licenses at their disposal. The player base on mobile is quite large, but they didn’t capitalize on improving mobile in that regard. Expanding on the game’s content with additional cutscenes, for instance, could have been seen as a more substantial effort to enhance the overall experience.

The game remains free-to-play friendly, at least until now

The absence of disruptive ads contributes to an uninterrupted gaming experience in eFootball 2024. Furthermore, the game maintains a level playing field for paid players, granting them the ability to acquire their preferred players, but there are packs that have the best players in it which you can purchase.

Final Thoughts

For the final thoughts in this eFootball 2024 review, the game is a healthy upgrade compared to the previous versions of the game. There are a lot of positives all around, improved gameplay mechanics and the graphics are a great sight to see. The change in the UI is amazing as well with the music improved, Some features are a miss for sure, but guess what? There’s always room for improvement, and I hope eFootball does it too.

An improvement over the 2023 version of the game, seemingly getting better as seasons arrive. Some features needed to present, else, it is good football.

Seasun Games, the team behind the recent 3D Sci-fi RPG Snowbreak Containment Zone arrived with another fantastic title Dawnlands, which is an open-world actionadventure. In Dawnlands, players take on the mantle of the land’s savior, setting out on an epic journey across a breathtaking open-world setting. Navigating through a vast expanse, they gather resources, master the art of weapon forging, and bring to life distinctive realms inspired by their creativity. Following the recent launch of Dawnlands, there have been questions regarding the game’s review, for which we have come up with this review for Dawnlands, discussing the hits and misses of the title.

Dawnlands offers a breathtaking visual experience

The plot of Dawnlands unfolds the narrative of an ancient land, slumbering in silence for countless centuries, patiently awaiting its awakening, as the living are corrupted into non-living beings by evil. As the player embarks on their journey of exploration, they will encounter strange monsters and puzzles, each holding a key to unraveling the hidden truths and the ancient powers of this enigmatic land as he sanctifies the silence around him.

Speaking of the gameplay, it unfolds within an expansive open-world environment where you assume the role of the world’s savior. As you traverse this realm, your journey revolves around crafting, engaging enemies in combat, and relying on the resources you gather during your exploration. Survival becomes paramount, and your strength is measured by your ability to thrive in the face of challenges. However, the best comes with the presentation.

Dawnlands Gameplay
Image via Seasun Games

To be fair, from the moment I launched Dawnlands, the visuals left me awestruck. The game showcases breathtaking landscapes, intricately detailed characters, and a distinctive art style that truly sets it apart. The dynamic lighting system adds remarkable depth and realism to the environment, making each exploration a visually gratifying experience. There is no denying that it provides a Console experience on mobile, and you get the feeling of much desire to play.

The game boasts a solid plot with good music

The idea behind the plot is also kept in touch with the player, as there isn’t much of a complaint in understanding what the storyline is helping your progress. The audio, including background music, is pleasing to the senses. The addition of movement sounds that resonate naturally further enhances the overall experience, making it even more worthwhile. Hence, we can say that the developers have succeeded in ticking these boxes, considering how crucial it is to maintain a balance between these aspects to capture a player’s attention.

The controls and UI of the game are decent

Open-world games do need to have a good experience in terms of controls, and Dawnlands ticks this box. It is simple yet easy to understand and does have that simplistic look to it that most games fail to keep. This way, it not only lends the game a straightforward aesthetic but also ensures adaptability to each player’s unique style.

Dawnlands items
Image via Seasun Games

Well, I tend to gravitate towards fully polished user interfaces, and most often I poise my complaint regarding the UI of games. This time again, you’ll read my concern. Although the UI does exhibit a few noticeable lags, the game’s extensive content could benefit from a more comprehensive UI that offers detailed explanations of the various roles and functions. Often you question yourself what and why exactly this particular menu is present, hence, it needed a more thoughtful design.

Optimization and glitching is a serious concern that takes the fun away

Now, if you’ve made it this far, let’s delve into some of the game’s drawbacks. The prominent issues revolve around optimization, particularly in the form of occasional frame drops and flickering of the environment around you that can prove to be quite bothersome. Given the game is big and has a vast environment, it is understandable, but this should have been looked at and worked upon by the devs.

Dawnlands Gameplay
Image via Seasun Games

I did encounter occasional minor glitches that slightly took away from the overall polish, but they were, fortunately, few and far between, but still, not good. I found a few bugs like clicking on certain menus occasionally leads to dropdowns that stubbornly stay. This is mainly due to the absence of a back button for the dropdown menus, which needs an inclusion.

No ad interruptions are a plus, in-app purchases are plenty

Dawnlands is notably ad-free, a significant advantage for players. For those inclined, there are plenty of purchasing available to your in-game resources using real currency, among which Lucent Leaves is the premium one thanks to which you can buy outfits and gift items in the game. Additionally, a Battle Pass is available for purchase, offering substantial rewards to further enrich your resource pool in Dawnlands.

Final Verdict

If I had to give a final verdict for Dawnlands,we would confidently label it as a fun and captivating experience in this review. The visuals are a treat to behold, the core gameplay elements are engaging, and the forging/crafting system adds a genuine sense of immersion, making you feel truly present within that world. The game’s addictiveness only further solidifies its appeal, and you never know the time spent playing. However, there is no denying it has its own share of problems, with the major one being optimization.

To be fair, I sense that the optimization challenges primarily stem from the game’s intended target audience being geared toward the PC platform. Porting extensive games like this to mobile devices often poses a considerable challenge. However, there are a couple of games that have done very well in managing the open-world setting on mobile with examples like Genshin Impact. Dawnlands can definitely learn a thing or two about getting an enjoyable experience on mobile with a few adjustments.

Unpacking is a calming game that simulates the process of taking your belongings out of boxes and arranging them in a new home. It’s a mix of block-fitting puzzles and decorating, allowing you to create a satisfying living space while uncovering hints about the life you’re unpacking. Developed by Witch Beam and published by Humble Bundle, the game spans eight house moves. Through the items they choose to keep, you gradually learn about this character without any explicit storytelling. In this Unpacking review, our aim is to focus on the key aspects of the game and offer a balanced assessment.

Unpacking incorporates an Ambivalent Storyline

Unpacking takes players on a poignant journey through a character’s life as they move from one home to another, spanning the years from 1997 to 2018. Each environment, representing a different stage of adulthood, such as a childhood bedroom, college dorm, or shared apartment, serves as a canvas for players to arrange possessions.

Unpacking Storyline
Image via Humble Bundle

The act of unpacking isn’t just about organizing items; it’s about unraveling a story. Art supplies, gaming controllers, postcards, and photos all reveal facets of the character’s personality, interests, and relationships. The game’s subtle storytelling allows players to piece together the protagonist’s life without explicit narration, providing a unique and emotionally resonant experience.

Unpacking’s Comforting Gameplay

Unpacking’s gameplay revolves around the simple yet satisfying task of unpacking and arranging belongings in various living spaces. Each level presents a new home to furnish, and players must carefully place items, considering their significance and the narrative clues they provide. As you unpack, the character’s life story unfolds organically, creating a sense of emotional attachment to the process.

The inclusion of a photo mode is a creative touch, allowing players to capture their meticulously arranged scenes. While this feature adds an element of personalization, it could have been more integrated into the overall experience.

The absence of deeper interactions with the photos, such as incorporating them into the in-game photo album, leaves some untapped potential. Nonetheless, Unpacking’s gameplay offers a unique blend of puzzle-solving and storytelling, making it a contemplative and emotionally engaging gaming experience.

Comforting Environment Design

The comforting environmental design of Unpacking is a standout feature that envelops players in a sense of warmth and nostalgia. From cozy bedrooms to shared living spaces, each room is meticulously crafted with attention to detail. The carefully chosen decor, furniture, and color palettes reflect the character’s personal journey and evoke a feeling of familiarity.

Unpacking Environment

This design invites players to connect emotionally with the spaces they are unpacking and infuses the game with a soothing ambiance, making Unpacking a truly comforting and visually captivating experience.

Unpacking boasts a charming and straightforward visual style, employing modern pixel art graphics. This aesthetic choice complements the game’s soothing and nostalgic atmosphere perfectly. The pixelated visuals offer a sense of simplicity and warmth, evoking a feeling of nostalgia reminiscent of classic video games from the past.

Each item you unpack is lovingly detailed, allowing players to appreciate the significance of even the smallest possessions in the character’s life journey. This pixel art style not only adds to the game’s visual appeal but also reinforces its focus on the emotional and personal aspects of unpacking.

Unpacking Visual and Audio
Image via Humble Bundle

The audio design in Unpacking plays a pivotal role in creating its calming and nostalgic ambiance. The game’s soundtrack features a collection of tunes that evoke feelings of comfort and familiarity. As you unpack, the gentle and soothing melodies enhance the overall experience, making each level feel like a cozy, intimate journey.

Moreover, the game incorporates subtle sound effects that add depth to the world, from the satisfying click of placing an item to the soft rustling of paper as you unwrap something. These audio elements work harmoniously to immerse players in the process of unpacking and the emotions it conveys, contributing significantly to the game’s unique and delightful atmosphere.

Unpacking features simple UI and Controls

The user interface (UI) and controls in Unpacking are designed with simplicity and smoothness in mind, enhancing the overall ease of playing the game. One notable feature is the absence of a complex inventory system, which streamlines the gameplay.

Instead, players interact directly with the items and boxes, eliminating the need for managing an inventory grid or menu. This simplicity allows players to focus entirely on the act of unpacking and the narrative elements of the game.

Unpacking UI and Controls
Image via Humble Bundle

Navigating and manipulating boxes in Unpacking is a seamless experience. The controls are intuitive and straightforward, making it easy for players to move boxes to their desired locations. Opening boxes is equally hassle-free, as it involves a simple interaction with each container. This simplicity ensures that the gameplay remains accessible and enjoyable, emphasizing the emotional and narrative aspects of the unpacking process rather than wrestling with complex controls or inventory management.

Value for Money

Unpacking is definitely worth the price you pay for the relaxation and enjoyment it offers. It’s unique in how it tells a story and gives meaning in an interesting way. Surprisingly, even though it’s a single-player game, it’s been a great conversation starter and social experience. The game excels at creating a soothing and stress-free atmosphere, allowing players to unwind and immerse themselves in its unique narrative. What makes it truly special is how it lets you connect with the story at your own pace, making it a deeply personal experience.

Moreover, the game’s replayability is a significant bonus. Every playthrough reveals new details and insights, encouraging you to return to it time and again. This adds long-term value to your purchase, as Unpacking continues to surprise and engage you with each revisit. In my opinion, the relaxation and satisfaction you derive from unpacking each box, discovering the character’s life story, and personalizing their living spaces make Unpacking a truly worthwhile and memorable gaming experience.

Final Verdict

The most remarkable achievement of Unpacking, from our review standpoint, lies in its ability to tell a compelling story without relying on conventional narrative tools. The game breaks away from the usual storytelling conventions, and dialogues, featuring minimal text, and deliberately keeping characters hidden from view. This unique approach encourages players to engage their imagination and observation skills as they unpack each box.

It prompts them to reflect on the significance of each item and its placement in the evolving story, creating a deeply personal connection to the character’s life journey. The absence of traditional storytelling elements doesn’t hinder the game’s ability to convey emotion; instead, it empowers players to actively participate in the narrative, making it a truly exceptional and memorable gaming experience that defies expectations.

Snowbreak Containment Zone is a brand new 3D Sci-fi RPG that offers a next-gen, cross-platform gaming experience. It follows a once-thriving city that has now transformed into the desolate and ruined Containment Zone Aleph. Your mission is to fearlessly embark on challenging quests alongside extraordinary beings known as Manifestations. With the recent release of Snowbreak Containment Zone, initial impressions of the game have been positive, influencing players’ decisions on whether to dive into this gaming experience. In this review, we will share our initial impressions and provide our ratings for Snowbreak Containment Zone.

A pretty good gameplay experience to begin with

The gameplay is pretty simple, beat your enemies, finish the boss, and reap the rewards. One notable aspect is the excellent guidance system that has been integrated. This system enables players to track nearby enemies and provides a helpful guide path line to follow to your next progress/save point, making navigation and progression through the game easier and more enjoyable.

Snowbreak Containment Zone gameplay

It had its fair share of optimization problems early into the launch. The character movement felt very sluggish, with a lot of problems with the D-Pad and irresponsive controls. But the development team impressed me with their swift actions to address the issues. Within a couple of days, they improved the game significantly, leading to a much more pleasant experience. The game grew on me fairly quickly, and I found myself becoming more immersed and engaged as the problems were resolved.

A smooth UI but might have been arranged better

The UI is pretty smooth and the use of pleasing audio effects for every click adds an extra layer of appeal to the overall user experience. I despise UIs that are cluttered and come in with useless transitions which further makes it a horrible experience. Many games have spoiled the fun of having a bad UI, but this game has impressed me.

Snowbreak Containment Zone UI
Image via Seasun Games

Having said that, I felt that there could have been some improvements on the arrangement front. Not that it isn’t neat, but the menu options on the home screen are arranged in a way that sometimes confuses you, say they highlight the events in a large font whereas finding weapons or operatives is a tricky state with smaller menu boxes.

A gripping storyline makes the part unskippable

I’m a fan of storylines. The reason behind this is that I feel they tend to give a good blend with the original gameplay experience although many players feel that intricate or lengthy storylines can sometimes slow you down in enjoying the overall game. However, in the case of the Snowbreak Containment Zone, it seems different, fresh, and interesting.

Snowbreak Containment Zone stroyline
Image via Seasun Games

The narration is well done. The fact that it doesn’t feel AI-generated speaks to the skillful storytelling and attention to detail by the game’s developers, which helps in creating a more immersive experience. Honestly, I do feel some of the complex words went over my head since it is futuristic, but overall it is a gripping part of the story.

Amazing graphics steal the show

Sci-fi RPGs with some intense action get discarded if they fail in delivering a good graphics-inflicted product. Games that boast impressive graphics and visuals typically have a higher chance of success, as they tend to attract players and create a more immersive gaming experience. Snowbreak Containment Zone is one such title. Every action the character has is simply well-animated.

Snowbreak Containment Zone graphics
Image via Seasun Games

Especially when you perform the special moves, there’s no trace of stuttering or subpar visual effects, ensuring seamless and visually gratifying graphics, even during the cutscenes that are beautifully directed. Moreover, the attention to detail extends to the mini-maps that guide players through the captivating storylines. These maps are thoughtfully designed, offering just the right detail and shadows making the experience worthwhile.

Controls need to be better for an action title of this scale

Snowbreak Containment Zone gameplay
Image via Seasun Games

Well, I think I have praised certain things enough, but coming to the controls, here I feel I’ve been cheated on. The available control options feel constrained, potentially hindering the level of freedom and fluidity you usually expect from RPGs. Specifically, I feel somewhat disappointed with the implementation of the gyro controls. Given that the game offers specific settings related to gyro control options, I expected a more immersive and engaging experience in that aspect.

Free of ad interruptions, less content behind a paywall

The game is free of ads, “Yay! Happy!” but you can get some freebies if you would like to buy by playing ads, which I feel isn’t necessary given the game is rewarding enough. If you choose to, you can purchase in-game resources with real money, including a pass that generously grants enticing rewards to enhance your resources further.

Final Verdict

If I had to give a conclusion to this game, it is a great package for those who love futuristic sci-fi titles, which comes with a good plot. Amongst the sea of positives, there are certain areas that the dev team needs to focus on, especially the controls, which I feel need a good change in settings and also allow arrangements. Overall, it is a great game to spend time on, which I’m confident will improve as time goes on. With this, I conclude my Snowbreak Containment Zone Review.

Tower of God: New World is a brand new title inspired by the popular Tower of God franchise. Staying true to the original universe with the anime storyline adapted into the game, the game features unique RPG characteristics and strategic elements for players to try out. After its global launch on July 26th, Tower of God: New World has garnered favorable initial impressions, significantly impacting players’ choices regarding their engagement with the game. In this review, we will share our early impressions and offer ratings for the gaming experience Tower of God: New World provides.

A neat gameplay without much of a hassle

It is always the gameplay part that the players will be curious about, and we shall start with that. The gameplay is basic, pretty much what you expect from idle RPGs, a straightforward and familiar gameplay style without too many hurdles for a beginner, who’s helped out with the basic Auto Battle system as well as arranging his team. Apart from the two basic game modes, there are several sections where players can enjoy fighting with their team.

Tower of God: New World gameplay
Image via Netmarble

Elementals and Classes are also present, allowing a more strategic approach to your battles thanks to their buff effects and leverages. They come in very handy and are essential to achieve wins. The Shinsu training mechanic is a good addition to training, emphasizing teamwork. While we may have preferred more work on the battle system since this is a tactical game, overall, the game manages to strike a satisfying balance in the gameplay aspect.

A storyline that delves deep into the Tower of God universe

The storyline is faithful to the Tower of God universe, with Bam once again featured as the main protagonist of the story mode. They are distributed into Acts, where each story has a mission to complete for the player in a mini-world. The narration, particularly that of Headon, is well-crafted and captivating, maintaining players’ interest throughout the game, and doesn’t feel dragging. Having a log helps too, to look into any missed lines to connect the stories. The auto-play option for the story mode offers a delightful experience akin to reading a visual book, enhancing the overall immersion in the game.

Visually pleasing graphics and well-directed cutscenes are a major plus

For a game that draws inspiration from an anime or manga that was known for good art, surely the expectations are higher. Thankfully, Tower of God: New World lives up to the expectations it promised. The cutscenes are absolutely fire, I love the little attention to detail they have given in costumes, especially while running at higher graphics. During the battle, you don’t get to see much of a difference but the special move effects are designed well.

Tower of God: New World gameplay
Image via Netmarble

The anime-esque style art is what makes the game work visually, and I’m a fan of that. In some cases, you can see optimization getting involved to meddle with the graphics for a stutter or two, but it is no big deal. On the fresher side, music can be and needs to be given a good update. While entering the game, one would expect an epic thumping BGM running to invite you, but well, it doesn’t happen. The home screen music is plain boring, and that needs to be taken into consideration.

UI is a letdown but has room for improvement

For a portrait game, you usually expect where menu icons and options often feel cluttered, but here the options are neatly arranged at first glance. However, the problem lies in the arrangements inside the menu are something I did not find easy on the eye. The oversized buttons and poorly organized layout lead to wasted space, detracting from the overall visual appeal, which is already bland.

Tower of God: New World Ui
Image via Netmarble

Another serious concern is about the response of the UI. Absolutely poor, and needs a fix as soon as possible. You can easily notice a delay of close to a second leaving you questioning yourself “Why is this so slow?” This happens during battles too, say while changing camera cutscenes or promoting a special move, you can easily notice.

In-app purchases appear to be relatively expensive

No ads, good plus. But while scrolling down on the options, I felt the rates for in-game resources seemed to be on the heavier side, and apart from one good and cheap deal, it was all overpriced. But on a common note, it doesn’t favor pay-to-win (P2W) players only. There is a good grind for the F2P ones, yes, but by progressing, good pulls and obtaining the best teammates are a certainty due to increased rates for your favorite characters.

Final Thoughts

Overall, coming to my final verdict in this Tower of God: New World review, I would say the game is a fun RPG with good emphasis given to characters and visuals. The game is very addictive for someone who is interested in webtoons, and there is nothing else to rejoice to get the Tower of God experience on mobile. As mentioned earlier, there are a few pointers on the UI and Music that would make the experience more worthwhile, which is easy as the team drops updates.

To be completely honest, I would have personally preferred this game to be designed in landscape mode, incorporating more complex strategic elements and reducing the emphasis on idle and collectible gameplay aspects. However, these decisions regarding the game’s design ultimately rest with the development team. I would be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy this game, even though my rating is, well, you know, a bit stringent.

A good idle RPG by Netmarble keeping it tight with the graphics and gameplay, however missing out on a few minor things in UI and the music.

RAIDER SIX is an online multiplayer battle royale game where like any other battle royale, players come across a particular map and matchmake with each other. Getting into this RAIDER SIX review, it is important to understand that with the experience of playing a whole bunch of games, there’s a bar that they must meet.

While not every game cannot meet the likes of PUBG Mobile or Call of Duty: Mobile, there are games that bring something new to the table and scratch the itch for something engaging. Unfortunately, like many other lower-tier Battle Royale games or shooter titles that we’ve seen so far, RAIDER SIX falls flat.

RAIDER SIX offers nothing new than the same age-old Battle Royale tropes

Starting off with the RAIDER SIX review, the game presents itself as pretty much any generic Battle Royale game. A story you wouldn’t care much about, an introduction to the game that shows you just how rough the game is in comparison to the more popular ones and then you go around switching guns and customizing characters to your heart’s contentment.

It’s not going to be a smooth experience so that’s not something you should expect and once you want to hop into a game, you can go for standard Battle Royale or a Werewolf mode where you’re running away from glitchy cookie-cutter models of werewolves that look like JPGs moving around on the screen. To say the least, it’s not a good experience.

It also feels like the game really copies other titles and gives off strong PUBG Mobile/ BGMI vibes. Now it’s true that you can’t really make a battle royale look all that different from other titles in the same genre. But even then, at times there are places where the game looks a little suspicious of something odd.

raider-six-jump

Like most other games, you’re looking at the usual arsenal of weapons that you unlock as you progress along, customization, and all the other bells and whistles that are thrown into games nowadays. There are the usual shops, trading options, leveling systems, etc. Even the loading screen seems oddly reminiscent of that of PUBGM/BGMI but we’ll just chalk that up to being a slightly similar design and unintentional. Overall, the gameplay does not hold up.

A lackluster experience with bugs, glitches, and frequent lags

As mentioned previously in this Raider Six review, the game is glitchy and pretty rough. During our testing phase, we found it to be rather lackluster with very little engagement. After getting stuck with poor controls, lag, glitchy visuals, visual effects that are straight out of the early ages of gaming, and a bunch of other shortcomings of the title, at some point, it was really apparent that the game wasn’t going anywhere.

There was an actual delay in relatively simple tasks like switching guns or throwing grenades along with buggy animations.  The core gameplay of course revolves around the battle royale genre, where, as we mentioned before, there’s nothing that’s novel or creative. Imagine a generic battle royale title and then lower your expectations by a bit.

Now there are a few things that are likable and perhaps could make it more entertaining. There’s the element of being able to turn into animals, fighting mutant animals and monsters, and piloting your plane… But that’s about it.  Perhaps looking at this game from the perspective of someone with experience in better titles might really just feel a little too brutal. But considering how there’s really no incentive to play this over any of the better titles from bigger studios, the game feels anemic.

Semi-decent Graphics and poor Audio support

The graphics can be pretty decent on the higher settings if your phone can handle it (which it should since this isn’t a heavy title) On the lower settings however, you’re getting pretty much PS2 levels of graphics with trees looking like scribbled drawings and the blood effects are the absolute worst. The audio is awfully tinny and it’s hilarious because things like RPG missiles sound like they’re straight from the VFX of a cheesy 80s action film.

Standard Controls but comes with a clunky UI

The controls are pretty standard although at times it can be a pain to go through doorways and windows and it might look a little oddly synced up with the visuals but it’s manageable. The UI really does seem to resemble some other titles and is a little clunky but it works as intended as well. Nothing too bad here which is actually good for this game.

IAPs can help unlock weapons and skins but can’t kill the game’s glitches

This is where the game’s loose ends show through with many players reporting issues with the game’s player data and accounts system, connectivity, and the general state of the game. We encountered some major issues with lag which were on the game’s end so maybe the servers are to blame. Like most other free-to-play titles, this game also has ads (optional) along with IAPs in the form of currency you can use to unlock weapons and skins, among other cosmetics.

Final Verdict

It’s not uncommon for game developers to make use of their nationality in their USP. This one uses the tag “#IndiaKaApnaGame” on their website and the game has gained a fair amount of popularity because of this and being a battle royale title. That being said, the history of games of Indian origin is far from one that shows off a whole lot of promise with most games being a hit or a miss.

In the case of Raider Six, the game actually garnered over a million pre-registrations in a few days. The real catch, however, is that this is not really an “Indian” game with China-based Softstar Entertainment actually being behind the title. It is more than evident that this game lacks in certain areas without having something that gives it what it needs to be worth playing.

There are much better options worth considering and the hype that this title creates isn’t justified with the gameplay, as evident in this Raider Six review. This honestly feels like a repeat of FAU-G (A long time ago but sort of relevant in this situation) and it’s not a good situation for a game to be in. Right now, all we can say is that if you’re looking for something in this genre, this game just doesn’t make the cut.

Motorsport Rivals is a new multiplayer racing game brought to you by Playsport Games which offers a unique F1-themed experience. The game offers many tournaments, races, and clan-based events for players to take part in, this helps to keep the players engaged and allows developers to add new content on a regular basis. In this Motorsport Rivals Review, we will try to highlight key features of the game and rate it fairly.

Motorsport Rivals does not offer the traditional racing gameplay

To kick off our Motorsport Rivals Review we would like to start it with the gameplay on offer. One thing which makes the game different from the rest of the titles available in the market is the gameplay that it offers.

Now this is not necessarily the decisive point of comparison as a lot depends upon the person who is playing but it still can make a difference. The game, Motorsport Rivals makes use of a luck-based random powerup card generator which gives different boosts to the players depending on the card pulled.

There are different numbers and types of powers in the game which the players can make use of and combine in the spins to get better boosts in the game, this keeps the race interesting to a certain extent. However, if someone is a fan of racing games with actual controls in the gameplay then we will suggest staying away from this title as it does not offer anything as such.

Speaking from a general perspective the game offers a very limited and repetitive gameplay one which lacks in-depth and in-game features. There are certain different tournaments and competitions in place which tend to offer additional races and events but still the gameplay remains the same.

Lacks in providing different game modes due to its general game design

The game in general offers a very repetitive and standard gaming experience one which follows the same level and creative design. The gameplay as explained earlier fails to add diversity to the game which makes it appear even more repetitive. Apart from the gameplay when it comes to game modes the game again fails to deliver, there are different types of tournaments in place for the players to challenge themselves against real-time players but the gameplay in these tournaments remains the same.

Due to its lack of features and limited gameplay, the game fails to deliver on the creative front and fails to impress in terms of gameplay and game modes. Even in the standard game mode, there is a limited scope of participation for the players as the cars are controlled by AI and only the powerups can be controlled by players which are drawn randomly in the game.

There are three major cards in the game namely the skill card, the speed card, and the gift card. These three powerup cards form a major role in the game as the whole gameplay literally revolves around them. The skill card can help players increase their in-game level categorized by the name driver’s XP in the game.

The speed card is the major factor in winning the races as it helps to increase the speed of the character in the game. The gift card allows the players to send gifts to other members of the game and get some gifts back in return. Gifts can be either coins or experience points.

Compete with other players in tournaments around the globe

Despite the gameplay lacking depth and features there are different sets of game modes available for the players to experience, the developers have already added many in-game tournaments with each having different criteria to compete in. This promises to keep the players in the game engaged as it offers different challenges to test them against.

Motorsport Rivals beginners guide, Motorsport Rivals
Image via Playsport Games

Tournaments in the game test the players’ abilities against different players from around the globe and allow them to compete against each other in order to compete and test their skills online. With each race completed, players earn driving bonus experience points which allows them to level up and unlock further more races and tournaments in the game.

Motorsport Rival lacks in the Graphics and Music department

The game alongside having shallow features in gameplay also has weak showings in the music and in-game sounds department, with there being repetitive sound effects in the game for most animations in the game. This fails to attract attention to the overall gameplay that the game offers and makes it appear a little bit vague after a couple of races as it becomes repetitive.

The graphics also fail to deliver a solid impact on the game as there is nothing too special about them. The game follows linear gameplay hence it becomes even more difficult for the game to showoff its abilities in the graphics department.

Motorsport Rivals beginners guide, Motorsport Rivals
Image via Playsport Games

Sound and Music despite being overlooked many times, form up and constitute a great part of the gameplay along with the graphics of the game and make it engaging and captivating for players. In the game, Motorsport Rivals both graphics and sound effects lack tremendously and thus make it really hard for players to connect with it.

The game offers an average UI layout with no scope for controlling the game

The button layout of the game is decent, it does not feel choppy or laggy but there is no scope for players to control the cars while in a race. All they can do is draw for cards and the game automatically adjusts everything accordingly. This limits the scope of control that the players can have over the cars in the game.

The game promotes in-app purchases to level up faster

The game has plenty of in-app purchases which the players can make use of in the game to progress further quickly. There are purchases that can be made to purchase coins in the game which are required to fill up the energy bar in the game. The energy bar consists of individual energy units which are required to participate in individual races of tournaments in the game.

Motorsport Rivals beginners guide, Motorsport Rivals
Image via Playsport Games

The game is free to play and the coins have other major use except to fill up the energy units. Energy replenishes itself over time as well hence there is no need really to go for in-app purchases and the game offers a fair for everyone opportunity to compete in the tournaments without providing an advantage to the ones with the purchases.

Final Verdict

Motorsport Rivals offers a very different perspective on the F1 racing genre and involves various different powerup cards all of which offer various perks. The game has different tournaments in place but still, all of them offer the same basic gameplay.

Players are advised to not expect the traditional racing experience as it offers no control over the cars except for drawing power cards. We hope that with our Motorsport Rivals Review, we were able to rate the game fair and square.
